About
Alternative Soul Meets Old School R&B
Kennedy Avery is a dynamic Atlanta-based keyboardist, vocalist, songwriter, producer, and musical director blending alternative soul, old school R&B, jazz-influenced music, and modern soul into a style that’s uniquely her own. Originally from Illinois and a standout graduate of Clark Atlanta University, she creates emotionally rich soundscapes with lush vocal harmonies, smooth basslines, and infectious grooves. Her debut EP First Take showcases her ability to write, produce, and perform every element of her music. Kennedy has toured internationally with Lil Yachty, played Saturday Night Live and Jimmy Kimmel Live!, served as musical director for R&B legends Brownstone, and coached actors on the set of Denzel Washington’s The Piano Lesson. Whether on stage or in the studio, Kennedy delivers timeless, genre-blurring artistry with soul and substance.
