Fran Winer
Originally from Miami, Fran Winer has been playing and surrounded by music since the age of five. Raised city-stargazing and believing in the bedtime stories told to her, Winer channels that sense of wonder into a sound that blends the freeness of jazz influence, indie rock energy with folk guitars or piano, and colorful arrangements. A recent graduate of Berklee College of Music— where she studied Songwriting and Music Production & Engineering— her sound draws inspiration from the honesty of sharing music, and artists like Carmen McRae, Radiohead, Nina Simone, Lady Gaga, Fiona Apple, Betty Carter, and Joni Mitchell.
Winer is an alumna of The YoungArts Foundation and the GRAMMY Jazz Tour, with experience performing throughout Miami and the Boston art scene. She is currently working on projects in sound design, music coordination and music supervision for film and TV. Winer’s work centers on sharing the feeling of music — raw, resonant, and captivating.
