Gavin Halloran

Gavin Halloran is an East Bay-raised jazz saxophonist bringing a warm, swinging Straight Ahead sound to Bay Area stages. Inspired by classic tenor voices such as Coleman Hawkins, Ben Webster, and Don Byas, Halloran leads trio, quartet, and band settings that feel polished, relaxed, and rooted in the Great American Songbook. His performance history includes Fillmore Jazz Festival, CSM Jazz Festival, San Jose Jazz Fest, Keys Jazz Bistro, Mr. Tipple’s Recording Studio, Biscuits & Blues, Bird & Beckett, Sweetwater Music Hall, The Dawn Club, Waystone, Hayward Public Library, and regular appearances at John’s Grill in San Francisco. His catalog includes Wild Is Love, Asiatic Rays, Hallucinations, and Monk’s Shop.
