Always inspired by the raw moments that make up the human experience, from her Anxious moments in a break room to more cheeky, resonant moments of womanhood where she’s uttered the sentiment “Please Forgive Me” far too many times, emerging singer songwriter Lour’s debut EP, Letters To My Friends, is a nod to how each of us are made up of all of the people we’ve known and loved up to this moment. Singing has always been her safest place, whether she was sitting at her plastic, childhood keyboard in her parent’s living room in Bakersfield, CA or making music alongside her friends in her now home, San Francisco, CA. Lour’s music creates an honest and visceral world, while also remaining fun and sparkly. She headlined her first show in San Francisco last summer and is inviting listeners across the Bay Area to go on a journey of introspection and communion through her live performances. As she’s making her next project, she’s honing in on her evocative lyricism by going even deeper into a more intimate sound, like we hear on her new single, Lovable.
