Randy Gist

Randy Gist, a Los Angeles-based composer and saxophonist from Grand Rapids, Michigan, has written music for major films like Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation, Despicable Me 2, and Evil Dead, and arranged for the Costa Rican National Orchestra.

As a saxophonist, he has performed with artists such as John Legend, Ariana Grande, Kelly Clarkson, and Ricky Martin, appeared at the 2020 Grammys, and played on Glee and Pixar’s Epic. He has also performed for President Barack Obama and DJ-ed Disney premieres like Toy Story 4 and The Lion King.

Randy plays Eastman Winds Saxophones, uses Beechler Mouthpieces, and holds a Bachelor’s in Music from Western Michigan University and a Master’s in Studio Jazz Writing from the University of Miami.
