Sion Firew is a Houston-based singer-songwriter known for her nostalgic vocals, emotional depth, and vivid storytelling. Her debut album OYSTER (July 2023) takes listeners on a journey through loss, enlightenment, and self-discovery, building on the personal themes of her acclaimed 2021 EP Growing Pains.
From House of Blues to Rice University, Sion has performed across her hometown, captivating audiences with every note. In May 2024, she expanded her reach internationally, performing classic Reggae and original songs alongside Addis Ababa’s premier jazz band, Keyn Lab, at Fendika Cultural Center and Upscale Lounge.
A passionate community builder, Sion has curated monthly music events in downtown Houston since March 2023. Her Pop-Up Picnics and Performances platform spotlights local talent and BIPOC businesses, while her 2024 Music Under the Moon showcase brought together rising stars like Ejay Mallard., Nicotine and the Warmtones, and Shelby Ruger for an unforgettable night of sound and soul.
