SJ McDonald

SJ McDonald, a farmer’s daughter from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, lives and breathes country music. Raised on her family’s cattle and turkey farm, she fell in love with 90s and 2000s country legends. Writing and performing since age 9, SJ moved to Nashville at 18, performing on Lower Broadway for 6 years. She signed a publishing deal with Major Bob Music and toured coast-to-coast in 2023. As the May 2024 CMT: Next Up Now artist pick, SJ is preparing new music, continuing to deliver high-energy, down-home country performances.
